Leaders of Western countries need to continue the sanctions policy against Russia, Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz has announced in Brussels, Polish Radio reports.
The Polish minister said in order to ease the sanctions Moscow must change its behavior in the global system; he stressed that nothing has shown it by now.
Czaputowicz said he would go to New York and raise the issue of the situation in eastern Ukraine and “the Russian aggression.” “This is another problem that cannot be settled by Minsk Agreements,” the minister noted.
As EADaily reported earlier, the Polish authorities continue persuading EU countries and the US that Russia is the major threat on the global arena. Warsaw repeatedly called to toughen anti-Russian sanctions, in March 2018, following Great Britain, it expelled four Russian diplomats. At the same time, the Polish foreign ministry in a comment on its position regarding the poisoning of former GRU colonel Sergei Skripal announced that Poland is going to use all means to protect NATO countries from “the Russian militarism.”
