Member of the Ukrainian Supreme Rada Nadezhda Savchenko has confirmed she intends to run for presidency in 2019. She made the statement to the NewsOne channel.

She also added that now she plans to continue working as a people’s representative at the Supreme Rada.

“I think I will be paying visits abroad if it is necessary… I will continue doing my job. My plans for next days are to work at the Rada,” Savchenko explained.

At a briefing on March 15, Savchenko accused the current government of the Maidan crimes. In response, Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuri Lutsenko accused Savchenko of plotting a terror attack in the Rada aimed at assassinating MPs and called to strip her of the parliamentary immunity and issue a warrant for her arrest.
