Washington’s decision to opt out of the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty was the start of a new arms race between the US and Russia, Russian President Vladimir Putin has told in an interview to Megyn Kelly from NBC.
“If you were to speak about arms race, then an arms race began exactly at the time and moment when the US opted out of the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty,” the Russian president noted adding that statements of a news Cold War made by Washington are ‘propaganda,’ and those who speak of a news Cold War are ‘not really analysts.’
Besides, Putin noted that tests of new defense systems were excellent, each of the defense systems tested is at a different stage of readiness.
