The Russian foreign ministry believes that Moldova’s decision to Russian journalists, political analysts, officials, officers of the peacekeeping troops and ordinary citizens from entering the country was incendiary and unfriendly, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova announced at a briefing on Nov 23, EADaily’s correspondent reports.
Zakharova stated the number of such incidents has increased. As an example, she cited a ban for a delegation of Moscow that was heading to Moldova to develop interregional ties that the Moldovan party allegedly promotes.
“Such actions are a serious aggravator in the bilateral relations; they pose threat to economic, business, cultural, scientific and human ties. It looks like Chisinau spares no effort in order to show off its loyalty to its certain Western partners hoping for some financial and political bonuses. Otherwise, it is hard to comprehend the logic,” the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said.
