Ex-president of Georgia and former governor of Odessa Region in Ukraine Mikheil Saakashvili has received document from the Ukrainian authorities confirming his legal stay in the country. Saakashvili informs about it in his Facebook account.

“I have finally got a document that confirms that I am staying in the territory of Ukraine on the legal basis. Of course, I am not content with it, I am trying to seek restoring my citizenship,” Saakashvili posted.

In September, the politician who was previously stripped of the Ukrainian citizenship with the help of his supporters breached the cordons on the border with Poland and got into the Ukrainian territory.

Late October, Saakashvili organized a rally near the Supreme Rada in Kiev where he called for early presidential and parliamentary elections.
