On Dec 14, the Supreme Council (Parliament) of Transnistria unanimously elected Alexander Scherba as its new speaker.
Scherba will replace Vadim Krasnoselsky, who has been elected president.
In his subsequent speech, Krasnoselsky called all power branches to consolidate.
“The most important thing for the president is not to let down those who have voted for him, not to let down his people,” Krasnoselsky said.
He thanked the MPs for their active work and called them to intensify contacts with their Russian counterparts.
