The government of Moldova is ready to enhance multi-faceted dialogue with Russia, Prime Minister of Moldova Pavel Filip said at his meeting with Mikhail Shvydkoi, Russian President’s Special Representative for International Cultural Cooperation, in Chisinau.

“It is important to promote a pragmatic and mutually-advantageous dialogue between Moldova and Russia for the welfare of the two countries’ citizens,” Filip said. He made a point of holding the meeting of the Moldovan-Russian Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation in late November.

The Moldovan prime minister highlighted the constructive talks held on sidelines of the CIS sessions, with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

“Problems can be overcome when there is good will and pragmatic approach. We must start searching solutions to not big problems to be able to overcome the bigger ones later,” the prime minister said.

Mikhail Shvydkoi, in turn, expressed readiness to help promoting Moldavian culture in Russia, saying cultural dialogue is the best way to help strengthen the friendly relationships between states.
