Next year Ukraine is planning to start building a wall on its border with Transnistria, Chief of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Viktor Nazarenko said at a briefing in Kiev.

Earlier, Ukrainie started building a similar wall on their border with Russia.

“This year we have built 32 observation towers, 230 km of antitank ditches, 115 km of belt roads and 71 km of metal fence in Chernihiv and Kharkiv regions. Now we are installing cameras and sensors all along the wall,” Nazarenko said.

He said that they had also bought Triton mobile modules – complex systems that can both detect and destroy targets.

The other dangerous sections, according to Nazarenko, are the borders with Transnistria and Crimea.
