The terrorist acts organized by authors of the so-called energy blockade of Crimea have resulted in a power loss at Ukraine’s nuclear power plants.
According to Deputy CEO of Ukrenergo Yuri Kasich, the blowing up of the two high voltage lines supplying electric power to Crimea has forced the Ukrainian authorities to suspend two units at Pridneprovskaya and Uglegorskaya TPPs and to shed the load of Zaporizhia and South-Ukraine NPPs to 500MW. “This is very dangerous as this may result in outages all over Kherson and Mykolaiv regions,” Kasich said.
As EADaily reported earlier, two high voltage lines were damaged in Ukraine’s Kherson region on Nov 20. The lines supply electric power to Crimea. The damage was caused by an explosion.
Now all big cities in Crimea have electricity but because the republic has no own power plants, consumer are facing outages. All social facilities have been connected to reserve supply sources.
