Supreme Rada members including Vice Speaker Andriy Parubiy have submitted a bill to consideration of the parliament. The bill looks to denounce the Agreement between the Russian Federation and Ukraine on cooperation in the use of Azov Sea and the strait of Kerch. The bill was received on July 16, the Supreme Rada website says. The discussion date is not reported.
Meantime, neither the text not the explanatory note to the bill is available. Therefore, it is not clear what made the deputies to draft it.
The agreement the deputies seek to terminate was signed at the end of 2013. It recognizes Azov Sea and the strait of Kerch as internal waters of Russia and Ukraine.
