Vasyl Hrytsak appointed head of Ukraine’s Security Service

The Ukrainian Supreme Rada has approved the appointment of Vasyl Hrytsak as head of the Security Service of Ukraine with 340 votes.

Earlier, on Wednesday, President Petro Poroshenko submitted an enactment on Hrytsak’s appointment to the Supreme Rada. 

On June 18, the Supreme Rada approved an enactment dismissing Valentin Nalyvaichenko from the post of the Security Service chief.  Afterwards, the president appointed Hrytsak as acting head of the Security Service of Ukraine.
