Kazakhstan gets almost 3/4 of all foreign investments in Central Asia due mostly to its internal political stability and good business climate, Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Masimov said during the 8th Economic Forum in Astana on Thursday.
“This is not the limit. The interest of investors in our country is growing. Over the last 24 years, we have managed to establish a firm platform for growth. As a result, our economic growth has redoubled and today we have one of the most active economies in the world. Until now energy resources have been the engine of our economy but now we are trying to diversify it,” Masimov said.
He said that Kazakhstan would remain open for business as this is one of the prerequisites of its future. Our Nurly zhol (Path to Future) plan is pushing our economy forward despite hard conditions worldwide. As a result, we are considered as one of the best place for business in Central Asia,“ Masimov said.
