People’s Deputy of Ukraine, a member of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc, Oleg Barna says Arseniy Yatsenyuk must step down as prime minister of Ukraine to prevent the parliamentary coalition from splitting up.
“If they want to preserve the coalition, it is possible, but Yatsenyuk must step down as prime minister,” Barna told 112 TV-channel.
Earlier on Monday, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said some political forces inside the coalition support the opposition and should withdraw from the coalition.
Ukraine’s five-party ruling coalition comprises the Petro Poroshenko Bloc, the Popular Front, Samopomich, the Radical Party of Oleg Lyashko, and Batkivshchyna. The ruling coalition is called “European Ukraine” and makes up the parliament majority (306 parliamentarians).
