Military drills involving U.S. Army get underway in Estonia

Today, on April 20, military exercises codenamed “Tornado” kicked off in Estonia. The drills involve U.S. paratroopers, according to the website of the Estonian Defense Forces.

“Tornado’” are the last drills ahead of the major Siil 2015 war games with participation of all the subdivisions of the First Infantry Brigade. The major goal of the drills is training for combat war game and upgrading of battle readiness, the press office quotes Commander of the 1st Infantry Brigade, Lieutenant Colonel Aron Kalmus as saying. The drills will continue for 5 days and involve 2000 soldiers of the First Infantry Brigade of the Defense Forces.
