A representation office of South Ossetia was opened in Donetsk on Thursday.
“This is a signal that we have recognized the Donetsk People’s republic. Now we are discussing the political and economic aspects of our cooperation,” a representative of South Ossetia’s foreign ministry said during the opening ceremony.
Foreign Minister of the Donetsk People’s Republic Alexander Kofman thanked his South Ossetian colleagues and expressed belief that the cooperation between the republics would be successful.
South Ossetia officially recognized Donetsk on June 27 2014.
