Speaker of Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol Alexey Chaliy is ready to resign unless the situation in the city is improved by June 1.

“A year ago I recommended Sergey Menyaylo to the president as governor of Sevastopol. Today I am not satisfied with his work. We have not registered any serious progress anywhere and are no longer trusted by our voters. We still have no local government structure, no efficient investment system, no master plan, no conditions for the activities of the Public Chamber. We have done nothing to develop fields like wine-making, tool engineering and IT. Unless the municipal authorities try to improve this situation, the authors of this ‘success’ – Menyaylo and Chaliy – will have to resign,” Chaliy said.

He said that he had come into his office not just to hold it but to realize a specific program. “Once I see that it cannot be realized, I will resign. Mr. Menyaylo also has such a right,” Chaliy said.
