Member of the Petro Poroshenko’s Bloc Sergey Kaplin has said that members of the Ukrainian parliament claim that Arseniy Yatsenyuk should resign from the prime minister’s post. According to Kaplin, the rostrum of the parliament will be blocked until such a decision is made.

“We believe that next week Arseniy Yatsenyuk should be removed from office. This will be done in the frameworks of voting and after the Supreme Rada passes a decision to establish an interim investigation commission that is supposed to investigate the loud statements made by Nikolay Gordiyenko who headed the State Financial Inspection and was ousted from office by Arseniy Yatsenyuk,” the MP is quoted by Ukrainian media as saying.

Two weeks ago, Yatsenyuk made a public statement on removing Gordiyenko from office. Arseniy Yatsenyuk’s statement explained that Gordiyenko had failed to carry out financial inspection of the Antonov Concern. Besides, while Gordiyenko was in office, the statement claimed, there was no efficient control over state funds and property, while financial inspectors used to misuse their office during inspections.

However, Gordiyenko disagreed with Yatsenyuk’s arguments. Speaking at the Supreme Rada, he accused the prime minister of removing hi, from office in order to hide facts of corruption. A group of the members of parliament called to establish an interim commission to investigate malversation in the government and remove him from office for the time of investigation.
