Two Armenian soldiers killed as Azerbaijani armed forces conduct cross-border sabotage attacks

Azerbaijani Armed Forces security detachments attacked the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, near the Berd community, Tavush region, Armenia, in several directions early in the morning on January 23, Artsrun Hovhannissyan, Spokesperson for the Defense Ministry of Armenia, posted on Facebook.

According to him, Armenia's subdivisions went into combat. The fight continued for about half an hour.  The enemy was thrown back to its original positions, suffering losses. Armenia also suffered casualties: lieutenant  Karen Galstyan and common Artak Sargsyan. The ceasefire was breached about 300 times overnight.

By data of the Nagorno Karabakh Defense Ministry, Azerbaijan's Armed Forces attempted to sabotages also the Line of Contact in the Karabakh conflict zone.  The contact detachments of Karabakh responded timely and threw the enemy back. There are no casualties reported from the Karabakh side. The Armed Forces of Azerbaijan lost three servicemen, by preliminary data.
