The Crimean authorities and hotel managers conceive that the crisis in the currency market will make Russian tourists rush to domestic resorts. Therefore, they spare no effort to organize decent holidays for them, Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov said today, on December 17.

“Crimea is preparing to receive tourists. I am sure, we will succeed,” he said. “However, not all the facilities may be brought to a proper level, as there is really much work to do. There are a huge number of programs to be implemented. Today, we are working also to organize a ferry crossing via the Kerch Strait. We are sure that we can organize its functioning well enough to avoid queues. The waiting time should be about 3 hours at worst.”

According to data of the Crimean Ministry for Resorts, in shoulder seasons, 156 health resorts and rest facilities will be available in the republic, with the daily accommodation costs averaging 1,428 rubles.
