Nebenzya blames London for deliberately destroying evidence in Skripal case

Russia’s Western partners “do not listen to and do not hear” Moscow’s arguments concerning poisoning of former officer of State Intelligence Service Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia, RT reports citing Russia’s Permanent Representative to UN Vasily Nebenzya.

He said the OPCW report “has nothing that would help the British substantiate their mendacious version about Russia’s involvement in the incident in Salisbury.”

He said that the UK government is deliberately destroying evidence in the case, as pets from Skripal's home were destroyed without taking any samples. The places that Skripals visited – bar, restaurant, bench and soil in a park and others are cleaned out.

Besides, Nebenzya linked poisoning of Skripals with the alleged chemical attack in Syria calling both the incidents a rude provocation against Russia and an attempt to deteriorate the strained relations of Russia and EU ahead of Brexit.

As EADaily reported earlier, Russia’s Permanent Representative to OPCW Alexander Shulgin provided documents that, as he said, prove that Novichok agent was produced and patented in U.S.
