Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov has dismissed the government, the president’s press office reports. “The president approved the no-confidence motion against the cabinet of Prime Minister Sapar Isakov passed by lawmakers,” according to the source.
101 out of the 120 parliamentarians passed the vote of no-confidence and submitted it to the president’s approval. Opposition factions in the Kyrgyz parliament expressed discontent with the government and collected the required number of signatures for its dismissal.
On Tuesday, the parliamentary minority opposition forces expressed discontent at activity of the Cabinet. The ruling coalition comprises social democrats, Unity and Kyrgyzstan parties. The current Cabinet and prime minister Sapar Isakov took office last august.
