Moscow and Beijing confirm close coordination on Middle East

Moscow and Beijing have confirmed they are inclined to sustain close coordination under the Middle-East agenda in the bilateral format as well as within the UN and at other international sites, runs a statement of the Russian Foreign Ministry on a meeting of Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov and China's Special Envoy on the Middle East Issue Gong Xiaosheng. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Rome II Ministerial Meeting to support the Lebanese Armed Forces and the Internal Security Forces.

The parties discussed acute issues of the Middle-East agenda including the situation in Syria and Lybia and prospects of the Palestine-Israel settlement.
