Egyptian national carrier Egypt Air will send its first flight from Cairo to Moscow and back on April 12, an official statement of the airline runs. According to a spokesman for the company, Egypt Air will be flying to Russia three times a week: on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
The first flight of the carrier from Cairo to Moscow is scheduled for 10:30am.
Apart from Egypt Air, since April 11 Aeroflot will be flying to Egypt on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from Sheremetyevo Airport. Since June 12 to July 2, it will be flying to Egypt on the daily basis due to expected growth in demand.
Russia stopped air travel to Egypt in November 2015 after a Russian passenger plane with 217 passengers and 7 crew members aboard crashed above Sinai as a result of a terror attack.
