Vladimir Putin agrees that the attack on Khorly is comparable to the burning of people in Odessa on May 2, 2014. This was announced by the governor of Kherson region Vladimir Saldo after a telephone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation.

"By phone, I reported to the President about the terrorist attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on civilians in Khorlakh, about the consequences and the measures we are taking. Vladimir Vladimirovich agreed with the point of view that this crime of cruelty, inhumanity and cynicism is the same as the burning of people in Odessa on May 2, 2014," Saldo writes in his telegram channel.

As reported on the Kremlin's website, the head of the region also informed Putin about the investigative actions and promised that as the work of the investigation team progresses and the bodies of the victims are identified, information and names will be published on the website of the regional administration.

As EADaily reported, on the night of January 1, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a drone strike on a cafe and a hotel in Khorlakh on the Black Sea coast, where civilians of the Kherson region were celebrating the New Year. According to preliminary data, 24 people were killed, 29 injured, including children.
