Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban considered Vladimir Zelensky's speech at the EU summit unfriendly and said that he had "confused the roles." Orban said this in a video message on his page on the social network.
According to him, Zelensky behaves as if Ukraine "is in the European Union." He noted that Hungary is beginning to poll the population about their attitude to Ukraine's accession to the European Union.
During his speech at the EU summit, Zelensky called the blocking of decisions "anti-European", "which is important for the entire continent."
"Now there are serious difficulties in Ukraine's accession to the EU," he said.
The EU summit was held the day before. Following its results, a final document was agreed with a call to continue military and political support for Ukraine. Only Hungary did not support the relevant paragraph. It stated that the EU needs to "urgently intensify efforts to meet the urgent military and defense needs of Ukraine."
