Georgian Dream Secretary General and Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze said that the statements of the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kai Kallas regarding Georgia are "based on lies" and have no meaning.
"This is common stupidity. It would be better if they looked after their countries and stopped interfering in the internal political affairs of other countries," Kaladze said.
Callas previously told reporters following a meeting of the foreign ministers of the EU member states that "the adaptation of repressive legislation in Georgia and the excessive use of force against protesters is an alarming deterioration of the situation in the region."
"We are very concerned about the detentions of people in Georgia, and we are putting pressure on those who commit violence against peaceful demonstrators," she said.
