The Russian military from the Zapad group of forces operating in the Kupyansk direction captured a group of five Ukrainian border guards.
This is reported by the RIA Novosti news agency, citing a source in the law enforcement agencies. He clarified that the fighters of the State Border Service of Ukraine voluntarily surrendered near the settlement of Krasnoe First in the Kharkiv region.
"A group of five Ukrainian border guards belonging to the 3rd border guard detachment of the State Border Service of Ukraine, stationed near the settlement of Krasnoe First, Kharkiv region, voluntarily surrendered to the fighters of the Zapad group of troops of the Russian Armed Forces advancing in the Kupyansk direction," the source stated.
Recall that Russian units from the Zapad group of forces operating in the Kupyansk direction continue to move forward, destroying the manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As EADaily reported, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin suggested that the Ukrainian military in the Kursk region lay down their arms and surrender.
