The commander of the sabotage and assault reconnaissance group of the Donetsk People's Republic, Yan Petrovsky (aka Vojislav Torden) was sentenced to life imprisonment in Finland.
EADaily has written more than once about the fate of the brave soldier. He was born in However, in 2004 he moved to Scandinavia when his mother married a Norwegian citizen. In 2014-2015 Petrovsky-Torden participated in the fight against Ukrainian neo-Nazis as part of the militia forces of the Donetsk People's Republic.
In the summer of 2024, Torden was detained by Finnish border guards, suspecting him of violating the norms of migration legislation while trying to fly to Nice, France, from Helsinki airport.
At the request of Bandera Kiev, the militia member was arrested. As the commander of the sabotage and assault reconnaissance group "Rusich", Jan Petrovsky was convicted by a Finnish court on charges of Kiev allegedly being involved in five "war crimes". A politically motivated sentence is life imprisonment. At the same time, earlier the Supreme Court of Finland refused to extradite Petrovsky to Ukraine, arguing that "the conditions of detention in Ukrainian prisons do not meet the requirements of humane treatment."
