The mother of the streamer Mellstroy (Andrei Burim), as well as his brother, were summoned for questioning by the Ministry of Internal Affairs on suspicion of tax evasion and money laundering totaling about 500 million rubles. This is reported by the telegram channel Mash.
"For the fact that they bought several luxury cars for cryptocurrency and recorded them on friends Mellstroy — "Booth" and "The collector.“ The fleet is as follows: Lamborghini STO (2024), BMW M5 (2024), Bentley Mulsanne (2017), Rolls-Royce Spectre, Rolls-Royce Phantom Long, Ferrari," says the telegram channel.
According to a similar scheme, an apartment was bought in Moscow for 30 million rubles.
The streamer's relatives were summoned for questioning on December 27, but they did not appear on the agenda. Immediately after receiving it, the streamer's mother flew to Montenegro, where Mellstroy himself now lives.
"The investigation is preparing to petition for the arrest of cars and apartments with a total value of about 500 million rubles. For non—payment of taxes on an especially large scale, the blogger's family faces up to 3 years in prison, for the legalization of funds on an especially large scale — up to 7 years, " the publication says.
Recall that Mellstroy became widely infamous back in 2020, when he beat up a girl on one of his streams. Then a criminal case was opened on this fact under Article 116 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Beatings". Burim was sentenced to correctional labor for a period of 6 months and a fine of 72 thousand rubles.
Burim was born in Gomel (Belarus), but in 2019 he moved to Russia. At the same time, he began to conduct his streams from apartments in Moscow City. Since 2019, he began advertising online casinos, as well as conducting gaming streams.
After the appeal of the head of the Safe Internet League Ekaterina Mizulina, Mellstroy was permanently blocked on YouTube, Twitch and Trovo for advertising online casinos.
Mellstroy in March 2024 held a joint stream with rapper Alisher Morgenstern * (Valeev *), which was simultaneously watched by about 720 thousand people on the Kick platform. This stream has become the most viewed online broadcast in Russia.
