In Germany, officials are working on the option of refusing to buy American F-35A fighters. This was reported by the Bild newspaper on March 8.
It is reported that the reason for this step was concerns about the presence of an "emergency switch" in the equipment, which will allow the United States to deactivate and turn off exported aircraft anywhere in the world at any time.
"If we have to fear that the United States may deal with future German F-35s the way they are now dealing with Ukraine, we could consider terminating the agreement," the publication quotes the former head of the Munich Security Conference, Wolfgang Ischinger.
The statement was made in the context of the fact that on March 5 the United States stopped sharing intelligence with Ukraine, including for launching attacks with Himars missiles.
