Russian President Vladimir Putin is determined to end the war. This was stated to journalists at a briefing at the White House by US President Donald Trump.
When asked if he believes in the peaceful intentions of the Russian president after the night strike on Ukraine, Trump answered in the affirmative.
"I believe we want to deal with Russia. Although they are fucking bombing Ukraine now… I find it more difficult to deal with Ukraine, to be honest, and they don't have maps," Trump said, quoted by Strana.
Ukraine and Russia should start negotiations, said, in turn, Assistant to the US President for National Security Mike Waltz. "Both sides should sit down at the negotiating table," he said.
"We have an initial agreement with the Russians. Ukrainians have a great opportunity to connect our economies through a mineral deal. Unfortunately, things didn't go well at first, but we have a chance to turn the situation around," Waltz added.
According to him, in Saudi Arabia, Kiev and Washington will discuss a deal and a cease-fire.
