MP Serhiy Kaplin from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc has organized a demonstration in Poltava against the new tariff policy.
The protesters are going to march almost 300 km across Ukraine. “Our final goal is to meet Yatsenyuk. It will be the first stage of a Maidan against Yatsenyuk and his new tariffs,” Kaplin said.
On Facebook, he has given a start to a revolution against Yatsenyuk’s tariffs. “I am sure that lots of Ukrainians, who have no idea how to survive this winter with such gas prices, will join us,” Kaplin said.
As EADaily reported earlier, on Sept 26 Kaplin asked the Kiev Pechersk Court to oblige the Prosecutor General’s Office to sue Yatsenyuk for bribery. The Ukrainian premier is suspected of receiving $3mn for appointing Volodymyr Ischuk as Director General of the BRTC.
On Oct 2, leader of Batkivshchyna Party Yulia Timoshenko accused Yatsenyuk’s Cabinet of having illegally sold almost 5.6bn c m of Ukrainian gas.
